Eng. Z. M. Suleiman, deputy Director General of SSMO affirmed the commitment of the SSMO to facilitate international trade transactions and to pay attention to issues of concern to the consumer and that contributes to the promotion of the national economy.
This statement came during his inspection visit to the Standard Specification Dept., where Mr. Suleiman stood on the Initial and Final Compliance Unit and the procedures carried out to check the compliance of food, engineering, construction and strategic commodities.
Eng. Z. M. Suleiman directed the SSMO staff to implement the system strictly and to prepare the technical regulations in order to facilitate procedures for the release of business transactions within a fixed limit of time not exceeding one day. Mr. Suleiman also urged that all performance levels should be measured and that flow charts of the initial and final compliance procedures should be clearly fixed in a noticeable place.
During statement, Eng. Suleiman also affirmed the importance of making available adequate Arabic and English copies of the approved standards to the Business men Association.
Mr. Suleiman also assured the commitment of the SSMO to make the provisions of all kind of aids and necessary administrative supplies in adequate amounts to facilitate trade and to reduce the seizure of goods at the different entry points of the country
